Mike bresee, mapc

My name is Mike Bresee, a graduate with distinction from Liberty University’s School of Behavioral Sciences with a Masters in Pastoral Counseling and a Life Coach certification.

As a counselor and coach, I specialize in working with the client to identify and address the root causes behind patterns of behavior that hinder your personal growth and well-being. We then apply a Solution-Focused approach that is tailored to you, the individual.

I work with men…late teens through the Golden Years…that are facing challenges negatively impacting their daily routines and life. This includes differing dynamics such as the spouse/significant other, children and stepchildren relationship. Challenges with work/career stagnation, community disconnect, and spiritual struggles that are often exacerbated by past and current events and failures, social insecurity, inconsistent habits and routines, and an absence of a living foundation upon which to build one’s life.

Why did I decide to become a counselor, and what makes me qualified to serve you? It is simple. I have made the mistakes. Many of them. I have committed the sins. Many of them. I have watched time and opportunity pass me by due to self-sabotage. I have likely lived the very struggle that has you ‘stuck’ in your circumstance.

Have some of the seasons of your life been littered with preventable struggles leading to an inability to move forward with purpose and growth? Have significant amounts of precious time been wasted and forever lost due to the formation and rooting of destructive behaviors? Have you hurt people you love? Do you lack a spiritual foundation in your life? You owe it to yourself and those that love you to get back to a life of purpose and joy.

I promise an environment that is compassionate, judgment-free, and grounded in personal accountability. The goal is to discover and deepen an understanding of your current struggle, and then develop a path toward healing, purpose, and the life God has intended for you.

You do not have to walk this journey alone. You have worth and purpose.
